Blepharitis
There are two types of blepharitis and it is possible
to have one or a combination of both types. Seborrheic blepharitis is
characterized by an excessive discharge of oil/grease from the skin around the
eyelids. Staphylococcal blepharitis is a bacterial infection and is more
likely to result in infective eyelid conditions such as styes. It is
important to seek the advice of an ophthalmologist the first time you
experience blepharitis.
